In the installment of the the Regions Now lectures, RCVS and European Specialist in Neurology, Mark Lowrie will present a series of short webinars, associated resources and a live interactive online session on identifying, localising and diagnosing neurological spinal disease, then deciding on treatment options, as a vet in first opinion practice.

Delegates will be issued with a link to a closed group on the BSAVA Regional website, with access granted to a series of short webinars and associated reading.
Live session
The live session will take place on 24th February. Join us in the waiting room at 7.30pm, for a prompt 7.45pm start. This session will last 1.5 hours with opportunities for questions and discussion with the speaker.
After the event
Delegates will have access to the online content and discussion forum, and there will be opportunity for community peer to peer, and volunteer discussion, which is an important part of our Regional CPD.
Learning objectives
- Be able to perform a brief but thorough clinical exam of the acutely paralysed patient
- Understand the meaning of ataxia and how it can help in many different ways
- Tips to distinguish neurological from orthopaedic disease
- How to use video footage to help in localising the problem and making a diagnosis
- Be able to form a reasonable diagnosis when MRI is not an option
